Went out to buoy 13 near the CBBT High Rise in the afternoon drifting the channels edges and picked up two keeper flounder.  Then anchored up late in the afternoon to give the black drum a try.  Fished chowder clams and hard crab on the bottom with a fish finder rig 8.0 hook (could not find any sea clams).  The clam got stolen almost as soon as it hit the ground by skates.  I hate them things.  Ugliest critters (next to the oyster toad) and don't even give you any pullage.  Went through our clams in about 30 minutes.  Next came the dog fish going after our crabs.  Lanie got one that came in at 39 inches and at least gave some pullage.  Got a great show of a huge school of dolphin that surrounded the boat jumping and playing.  Ran out of bait at 7 pm with no drum so headed back in to pretty sunset.  The water was nice and calm but stained from all the rain.
